Can I match a pinstripe jacket with a lime green shirt?

Recently, one of our fellow readers asked us the following:

“I just want to know if I can match a pinstripe suit with a lime green t-shirt. My brother is getting married and his theme is lime green. Any suggestions would help.”

We responded as follows:

-If you’ve got a pinstripe suit with really fine or thin stripes, it should match to a lime green t-shirt with no problem. Because the stripes are so thin, they will take on the color of the shirt underneath.

-Color-wise, black is the best color to wear with lime green. Second best would be charcoal gray (like our Sean John Grey Pinstripe Suit). Other colours will be much harder to match.

-If you’re going with a T-shirt, try a 2 button suit with side vents. Current fashion has those as the most casual and stylish, so they fit well with a t-shirt.

-White shoes with lime green stripes (e.g. Lacoste) would complement the outfit and link it together well, depending on how casual you’d like to be.

-Another option would be to wear a pastel green collared dress shirt with a lime green patterned tie. Pastel colors with funky ties are very modern. If that doesn’t work for you, a white Lacoste Tshirt with alime green pattern should do the trick.

Now, that’s called customer service! 🙂 If you have any questions of your own, please feel free to email me at marco@suitupp.com and I will be more than happy to respond!

I just happened to stumble upon this article, and although it’s a few months old, I was wondering if this shirt and tie are somehow available through your site?
